Shipping & Returns


When you place an order, you can expect it to be dispatched within 24-48 hours, unless you have requested differently (for example, orders that are being made bespoke for you).

Orders weighing under 2kg will be dispatched with Royalmail.

Orders weighing between 3-30kg will be dispatched with Parcelforce, unless they are oversized or easily breakable. 

Oversized, fragile objects and orders weighing in excess of 30kg will be sent on a pallet. 

All products on our site come with FREE & FAST DELIVERY to mainland UK addresses.

Parcelforce delivery costs to the Scottish Highlands & Islands will incur a £15 surcharge. Parcelforce deliveries to Northern Ireland will incur a £35 surcharge.

Freight deliveries to Scottish lowland addresses will incur a £40 surcharge. Freight to the Scottish Highlands and Islands will incur a £ surcharge & freight to Northern Ireland will incur a £ surcharge.

Please note free delivery is to your front door only or to the nearest safe location that we can unload the order from our vans. Someone will need to be home to take delivery of the order. Pallets can only be manoeuvred on a flat, level surface!

By purchasing an item from Burgess Home & Garden you have agreed to all the above. 

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. Please get in touch if you live outside the UK & would like a quote for delivery.


Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 28 days of delivery for a full refund, providing the item in question was not ordered or made bespoke for you. You will be responsible for paying any return costs.

We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in most cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We will not be able to refund you if the item is returned to us damaged or defective.
